The Rochester Nichiren Shu Buddhist Sangha recently hosted the 1st Annual Flower City Dharma Conference on December 2nd, 2007. Our first Dharma Conference had an attendance of a dozen people. Reverend Kanjin Cederman of the WNY Nichiren Buddhist Sangha
gave a wonderful lecture on the basic tenants of Buddhism. Chad Grohman
elder of the Buffalo Sangha and Cody Kroll elder of the Rochester
Sangha both gave passionate speeches on the lives of the Buddha and
Nichiren Shonin. Also in attendance was Zak Lang Sangha elder from St.
Catherines, Ontario.
The Rochester Sangha would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all those who attended this event on a very cold and snowy Western New York day. These individuals chose to come on a day they could have stayed warm and comfortable at home in order to hear about Buddhism and grow in their Buddhist Practice. This was the first of what we hope are many such events in the future.
